Mobile Master 7 – Synchronize and manage mobile phones professionally

Posted by Divyang on May 21, 2008

Mobile Master by Jumping Bytes is a mobile phone software tool for mobile phone management and SMS communication that can be used to exchange data between mobile phone and PC. Via cable, infrared, or Bluetooth, the system automatically detects the mobile phone and assigns it its own profile, making it possible to manage several phones without creating chaos with the data. An assistant helps with the settings. Even users with no prior knowledge can, for example, download their phone’s address book data to the PC with just a few mouse clicks

Mobile Master 7 now synchronizes contact and calendar data with Nokia phones even without an installed Nokia PC Suite and supports Symbian devices for the first time. Short paths, a clear design, and logical structure guide visitors to the information they seek

New Features:

The recently released version 7 of Mobile Master now synchronizes contact and calendar data with Nokia phones even without Nokia PC Suite installed and supports Symbian devices for the first time. In multimedia applications, the new version synchronizes photos and videos for all mobile phone manufacturers simply and easily with the PC as well as contact and calendar data. The “Phone Explorer” management feature uses drag and drop to copy any file, such as e.g. photos, images, ring tones, iTunes and Winamp play lists between mobile phone and PC.

The start window has also been completely redesigned, is more clearly arranged, and includes new icons: all relevant functions can now be launched directly from this window with just one click.

Java applications can now be installed and managed – initially only available for Sony Ericsson phones, synchronizing with Google’s Organizer is now possible in both directions, and Bluetooth connections are much simpler to deal with.

Nokia Music PC application launched (early beta) – what do you think?

Posted by Divyang on May 13, 2008

Welcome to Nokia Music!

Overview
Nokia Music lets you play and organise your music, discover and download new music, all seamlessly integrated with your PC and your Nokia device.

Give every day a soundtrack with Nokia Music. Move your favourite CDs to your Nokia device with one simple click. Create and share playlists with your friends and family. A complete music experience in one easy to use application.

Note: Nokia Music Store is still deactivated from this beta release.

While there is other music management software out there, we’ve made this application more focused on the needs of mobile users. That is why our first release concentrates on those features that will give real value to people who enjoy their music on the move.

We talked to many users during the product development phase and they told us they want to update the music on their mobile device more frequently than they do at the moment. Many of them find the process time consuming and difficult. We created Nokia Music with that in the forefront of our minds and made it possible to rip CDs directly to a connected device (just drag and drop the CD icon to your device – job done!) and move playlists you have created while out and about back to your PC collection.

The techies among us will be interested to know that Nokia Music is one of the first applications to take use Microsoft’s new WPF technology which in the future will allow us to introduce some cool and innovative enhancements in the coming months.

It was also important to us when creating Nokia Music to take a standards based approach. What does that mean? Well, we have not created any proprietary connection protocols or metadata models. This means that Nokia Music should function with any MTP-compliant device, whether it be a Nokia device or another brand MP3 player.

When you open Nokia Music, it will be hard to miss the ‘Store’ tab at the top. We’ve started rolling out Nokia Music Stores in many countries around the world and when a Store is launched in your country, you will see various new features being enabled that enhance the Nokia Music experience further. Things such as artwork retrieval and a recommendations feature. Unfortunately, this Beta version doesn’t support the Music Store features yet.

As this is a Beta release, there are a few issues still to be resolved as well as some performance improvements we would like to make. In the meantime, thank you for trying Nokia Music and please post as many comments and suggestions as you have time to make. I am especially interested to hear the what of features you would like to see introduced in future versions.

Photoshop Express Beta for windows

Posted by Divyang on March 28, 2008

2001286692301623262.jpg

Adobe has launched the public beta of a Flash 9 based online version of their popular image-editing and graphics software called Photoshop Express Beta. It allows users to store up to 2 gigabytes of images online for free, make edits to their photos, and share them online in creative ways, including downloading and uploading photos from popular social networking sites like Facebook, Picasa and Photobucket. It should work on any web browser that supports Flash 9 on Windows, Mac OSX or Linux.

Key features of Adobe Photoshop Express Beta include:

+ Upload and sort digital photos and edit them non-destructively to always preserve the original image

+ In a few clicks, make standard edits, such as removing blemishes and red-eye, converting to black and white, cropping and resizing, exposure, digital and color effects and much more

+ Use Pop Color to select an object in an image, mute the background color of the photo and swap the object’s color, so it jumps off the page.

+ Make photos look like drawings with Sketch effects.

+ Use Distort feature to distort facial features or objects within the images for a comical or artistic effect.

+ Upload and show off photos and slideshows in an online “Gallery” hosted by Adobe with options to conveniently embed or link photos to social networking sites and personal blogs without having to leave the application.

+ Make slideshows look better with animation that makes photos float and fly across the screen, allowing for viewer interactivity and unique presentation styles. You can choose to display your images in 3D or as a grid.
